It’s getting down to a brisk 70 degrees here in Georgia and that can only mean one thing: Fall is upon us! Next week, it will likely hit 90 degrees again but that won’t deter us from wearing sweaters and drinking pumpkin spice everything! (Sometimes, Autumn only lasts two weeks here in the south. We take what we can get.) The drop in temperature means one other thing–it’s time for Fall conferences and meetings in Libraryland! Here’s what the Equinox team will be up to for the rest of the year.
Our Sales Manager, Shae Tetterton, will be in State College, Pennsylvania on October 7 for the PaLA Conference. This year’s theme is “Pennsylvania Libraries: Engage, Educate, Enrich”. Right after Pennsylvania, Shae will be in Greensboro, North Carolina for the NCLA Conference. The theme for this conference is “Make It Matter”. Shae will finish out the month of October in Manchester, New Hampshire for the New England Library Association’s annual conference. For these three conferences, Shae would be happy to set up a time to meet with you to discuss Open Source options for your library, or you can find her in the Equinox booth.
Equinox is also proud to be sponsoring several events at these conferences. We are sponsoring the “PaILS and SPARK PA Update” at PaLA. At NELA, we will be sponsoring the Sunday Annual Banquet. In North Carolina, Equinox is the Platinum sponsor for the President’s NCLA Endowment Dinner.
Equinox Education Manager Angela Kilsdonk will be continuing her professional development in Minneapolis November 12-15 for the LITA Forum.
Galen Charlton, Infrastructure and Added Services Manager, will leave behind his beloved cats for a few days of hacking at the Evergreen Hack-A-Way in Danvers, Massachusetts in early November. He’s sure to be tweeting profusely during the event, you can follow along at @gmcharlt on Twitter. The official hashtag for the event will be #hackaway15.
While Galen is hacking away on Evergreen, Erica Rohlfs, Project Manager for Implementation, will be in Charleston, South Carolina for the Charleston Library Conference. As is her custom, we’re sure she’ll take some lovely photos of Charleston in between sessions.
Phew! As if that weren’t enough to keep us busy this fall, we’re also looking to add to the team. We have openings for a Systems Administrator and a Software Developer. If you’re interested in these positions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear from you!
