Duluth, GA–October 29, 2015

Equinox is pleased to announce a new working partnership with TALKINGTECH, the leader in library telephony services.  i-TIVA, TALKINGTECH’s interactive telephone messaging system, will be be available as an add-on service to our Evergreen Sequoia subscribers.  Equinox already helps its customers configure Evergreen for email, print, and SMS notices; adding a one-stop option for telephone notifications to patrons will be a wonderful addition for libraries and patrons.

Sean Young, TALKINGTECH General Manager of North America said, “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Equinox. They are well respected  in the library community and have a great staff. Their customer-centric philosophy and dedication follows our same ideology, and as a result, they have created a very loyal group of customers. TALKINGTECH looks forward to working with Equinox, providing their customers with applications to enhance communication between them and their users.

Mike Rylander, Equinox President added, “TALKINGTECH is the leader in library telephony solutions, and Equinox is the leader in Evergreen ILS hosting, support, and development; our partnership is a natural one, and we expect great things now and down the road.  The big winner, however, will be our Sequoia customers, who will see reduced costs and streamlined procurement procedures thanks to this relationship.  TALKINGTECH’s i-TIVA product has the features and maturity libraries expect, and Equinox, with more Evergreen integration and support experience than anyone else, has the expertise needed to fully leverage those features for our library customers.”

TALKINGTECH is a global leader in customer engagement and communications as well as payment technology solutions for some of the world’s largest organizations. Founded in 1986 and with deep expertise in the areas of customer engagement, payments and collections, TALKINGTECH is owned by TALKINGTECH Holdings headquartered in New Zealand and has offices across EMEA and Australasia and in the US.  Hundreds of libraries now have our i-TIVA systems providing vital services in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. I’ve been administering, designing and building software systems for nearly two decades, and half of that has been with libraries.
