FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Duluth, GA–November 3, 2014

Equinox is excited to announce that Ashland and Orwigsburg have joined PaILS/SPARK Consortium!  The two libraries are located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  There are now 41 libraries in the SPARK Consortium with another 30 to be added by Spring 2015.

Ashland Public Library boasts almost 20,000 items for use by its 2,300 patrons.  Orwigsburg Free Public Library services almost 2,800 patrons with nearly 30,000 items.  Both libraries were migrated to Evergreen by the Equinox team in early October.

Equinox Project Manager Jenny LaJeunesse had this to say about the new additions to the SPARK Consortium, “The libraries in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania bring valuable services to their library users, and they are continuing in that mission by joining the fast-growing PaILS state-wide consortium, broadening their library services to encompass online access to their catalog.”

I’ve been administering, designing and building software systems for nearly two decades, and half of that has been with libraries.
